Merritt Parkway Museum
On October 22, 2006 the Conservancy officially opened the doors to a lobby museum dedicated to the Merritt Parkway. MPC's Guide is mounted on a wall in a 10 foot long version highlighting attractions and points of interest along the Parkway. A 30 minute video presentation describing the early challenges of building the Merritt as well as various archives are on display. The museum is located in Ryder's Landing Shopping Center, 6580 Main Street, a five minute walk from the new pedestrian and bike path under the Sikorsky Memorial Bridge in Stratford (exit 53).
